Clay and Sculpture
This semester, students will learn the fundamentals of clay. They will learn handbuilding techniques to create pottery (mugs, vases, plates, bowls, etc) as well as explore making sculptures out of clay, wire, and plaster. Students will learn how shape, texture, color, and space apply to 3 dimensional art. (*air dry clay will be used).
All ages 5 and up (choose one class):
Tuesdays 11:15 am-12:15 pm
Tuesdays 12:30-1:30 pm
Wednesdays 4-5pm
Thursdays 3:15-4:15 pm
Fridays 4-5 PM
Claymation
Learn the art of stop-motion movies through this engaging class! Students will learn the basics of claymation by writing their own storyline, drawing scenes, creating their own clay characters and props, painting the backdrop, taking photographic stills, and then turning everything into a moving film using iMovie. In iMovie, they will learn how to do voice overs and add music and sound effects. A wonderful class that covers everything from story-telling to painting and sculpture in fun, hands-on lessons!
Ages 10 and up: Thursdays 4:30-5:30 pm

Price: $170 for 10 classes, plus $15 clay supply fee
